VOLT Datacenters B.V. ("VOLT", "we", "us") is the controller for processing personal data on voltdatacenters.com (the "Site").

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/AVG) and the Dutch UAVG. The Dutch supervisory authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP).

You provide:

Contact details (name, work email, phone, company, role) and messages; career applications (CV, cover letter, portfolio links); business correspondence in partnership/vendor contexts.

Collected automatically:

IP address, device and browser type, OS, language, pages visited, timestamps, interaction metrics, and error logs.

Cookies & similar tech:

We only use functional cookies needed for the website to work and do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No ads are shown and no data is used for marketing purposes.

From third parties:

Hosting/analytics providers; public business sources (e.g., corporate sites/LinkedIn), only where lawful. We do not intentionally collect special categories of data via the Site.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases (GDPR Art. 6)

Consent

For non-essential analytics/marketing cookies and any newsletter subscriptions.

Contract / pre-contractual steps

To respond to your requests or evaluate job applications.

Legitimate interests

To operate, secure, and improve the Site; prevent abuse; maintain business communications. We balance our interests against your rights.

  • Perform analytics (only where lawful/consented)

We share personal data only as necessary and with safeguards:

  • Processors (verwerkers): hosting/infrastructure, analytics, email delivery, error monitoring, recruitment tools (bound by data processing agreements)

  • Professional advisors: legal, tax, audit (as needed)

  • Corporate transactions: merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale (under confidentiality)

  • Authorities: when required by law or valid legal process

We do not sell personal data.

6. International Transfers

If personal data are transferred outside the EEA/UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and implement supplementary measures where needed.

7. Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law:

  • General inquiries: up to 24 months after last contact (unless a business relationship forms)

  • Recruitment: typically 12–24 months, or longer where you consent to keep your details on file

  • Analytics: per provider settings/legal basis (see Cookie Policy; typically up to 25 months when cookies are used)

8. Your Rights

Subject to conditions/exceptions in law, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and you may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time (does not affect past processing).

9. Children

Our Site is not directed to children. Where consent is relied upon for information-society services, the age threshold in the Netherlands is 16.

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No system is 100% secure. Please report suspected vulnerabilities to privacy@fromvolt.com.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. The "Effective Date" will be revised upon changes.
